Utah Utes Tickets

The first question that comes to mind when people see the Utah Utes on any football schedule is, What is a Ute? The Ute tribe is an indigenous Native American tribe that the University of Utah has incorporated into student life and University of Utah Athletics. The Utah Utes mascot Swoop, is a red-tail hawk, who was introduced as the mascot for the Utah Utes after University of Utah was granted permission by the Ute Tribe Council in 1996.

The Utah Utes football program is an NCAA Division-I FBS football team that competes in the Mountain West Conference, however, the Utah Utes also have several strong ties to the Western Athletic Conference. The Utah Utes home stadium, Rice-Eccles Stadium, located in Salt Lake City, Utah was used for the 2002 Winter Olympics. The opening and closing ceremonies for the Salt Lake City Olympics were held in Rice-Eccles Stadium turning a national and international spotlight onto the Utah Utes. Part of the attention that came to the Utah Utes was a recognition of the seemingly under-the-radar post season record the Utah Utes roster had acquired. The Utah Utes have a post season record of 11-3 a .786 winning percentage which is the highest postseason winning percentage in the nation among teams that have had more than 10 postseason bowl game appearances.

The Utah Utes not only excel in Bowl Games, they have created a name for themselves as winners in whatever conference they are playing in. In the Mountain West Conference alone the Utah Utes can claim 4 titles and have can claim over 20 conference championship titles total. Along with conference games, the Utah Utes play in several annual rivalry games including the Holy War, the match-up against BYU. The game is always close, often within a touchdown of each other and recently has had conference title implications. The Utah Utes also hold rivalries with Utah State and New Mexico.

But no matter what game you attend from the Utah Utes Schedule, you are bound to catch a great football game. Buy Utah Utes Tickets today!
